South High School 1997 Reunion

We had our 10 year high school reunion this weekend and it was WAY more fun than I had anticipated! For anyone who wasn't able to come, you will HAVE to come to the next one - we missed you! It was so wonderful to see old friends that I hadn't seen in 10 years....and amazingly we haven't changes that much! Here's a few fun and embarrassing pictures from our night at Meadowview.

The Class of 1997
The "Memorabilia Table"

Me and good ol' Todd

Katie, Liza, and I (Southern Belle reunion!)

Me, Liza, and Becky Hyatt

Jack, Troy, and I - Troy and Christian Hawley really made the night a lot of fun!

"Sumo competition" for who came the furthest distance - Stacey knocked "Dan" out! :) - it was hilarious!

Christian as the "Newlywed Game" talkshow host

Our beautiful cake

Kristen, Liza, and I - you guys looked gorgeous! Definitely the hottest moms I know :)

Jason Zurawick and John Branch - the "Docs" together again - between kids and eyes we're covered with docs from our class!

Me and my sweetie before the reunion at my mom's

Nicole, Amye, and I - I can't believe they came from California - much more dedicated than me!

And the fun began....the "Macarena" made a come-back for the evening!

"C'mon Ride the Train" - I can't believe I'm doing the "train" - but it was so much fun!

Home Sweet Home

Here are a few updated pics from our new house...we still have lots of work to do, but at least we have basic furniture - better than sitting in lawnchairs in the living room!! I will update pictures as the progress continues....

This is our new living room furniture

I love fun pillows!!

Zach says I put so many pillows on the couches no one can sit there!!

I'm going with green, blue and brown in the living room (after MUCH debate) - Note the fun new lamp on the end table - looks like a candle but it's a lamp!

Kitchen table and chairs - we don't really have a formal dining room so we got a table we can add a leaf to for big family dinners in the future.

Entertainment center with Zach's favorite new piece of furniture - the LCD TV!! All he cares is how the football games look :)

"Zach's Chair"

The master bedroom (& Brady!)

We had my family over for a cookout on Labor Day - my wonderful chef of a husband made all the food - all I could contribute was dessert! We are loving being close to family again - it is so wonderful to be able to have them over for the afternoon instead of being 15 hours away!

Part of Zach's lovely spread

Poor Brady was so tired after watching us cook and clean all day :)

3 generations together again

Summer Pics

OK - I haven't been keeping up with my blog very well, but the problem is, we haven't been able to find the camera since the move....for those of you who know me well, that is killing me!! I decided to post some pre-move pics until I can get new pics for the blog. Enjoy!

This was our graduating residency class from NSU in Oklahoma - great experience but glad to be back in TN!

My wonderful mom and sister came down for their first and last visit to see us in good ol' Oklahoma!

We went to Boston at the end of June - it might be my favorite big city - we stayed with my friend Andy and had so much fun seeing all the historical places, eating, shopping, eating (we ate A LOT!) We were "technically" there for an optometry meeting but we did a lot more sightseeing than continuing education! Here are a few highlights....

My friend Adrien, Zach, and I at one of the optometry events

This was the coolest place - nothing but great food for miles and lots of fun shopping

I just love this picture - I'm not even a huge sports fan (but Zach is!) but the Boston Red Sox stadium was very cool - they give a great tour and you get to sit just about everywhere in the stadium - it was a GORGEOUS day!

Zach and I in the Red Sox stadium

My sweet friend from Kansas, Abigail - the Lord definitely placed her in my life at the perfect time - we met randomly right as we moved to Oklahoma and she led the girl's bible study I was in - she is amazing and I miss her dearly!

Me, Zach, and Tara on our walking tour of Boston - I don't recommend flip-flops for any sort of "walking tour"!!!

The original "Cheers" - doesn't look the same on the inside but it is where they filmed the outside for the TV show

My wonderful husband found our camera tonight so I will take some pics of the house (updated!) and send those out soon!
