I am so thankful for you!

A few weekends ago, two of my best friends and I decided to take some time out of our busy schedules to spend some time with each other and it was truly one of the best weekends I have had in a long time! Who knew I could still stay up until 2 or 3am talking??!! I guess we're not too old yet after all :) I love you two SO much and miss you more than you know! Good friends TRULY are such a beautiful gift from God.

A shout out for Jason Castro

I still love with David Cook, but I can't help but love Jason Castro - what a great guy and he did so good tonight!! (And he's done some Christian stuff before so I love him even more - check him out on GodTube!) Zach loves him for his hair..OK "loves" might be going a little too far, but he really likes him :) GO Jason!

I will try to make my next post non-American Idol - just haven't had time to download pics yet....

American Idol anyone?

OK, I'll admit it - I love American Idol and haven't missed an episode yet this season.....and David Cook's my fav! I've gone back and forth between a few, but he is definitely the winner to me. I do think Syesha got the shaft this past week - I mean, she was at her best this week and then get's put in the bottom three?? I used to be a Ramiele fan but after the past 3-4 weeks I still think she's cute but not a winner. I still love Brooke and Jason Castro (just b/c he's so funny and you have to love his hair)...Archuleta's got a great voice, he's just too much of a little kid to me and nothing stands out different in his style. OK, that's my thoughts - if you have a favorite let me know!

Update on Zach's Upcoming New Office

So Zach and his boss, Dr. Mills, are building a new office in Elizabethton, TN. They bought some land and had to tear down the building that is currently there. I will try to post some pics along the way of their progress - they are very excited since they will be going from a mere 1300 sq. ft. to over 3000!!

Trusting in Him

Just wanted to update you guys with the last few weeks. We have been up and down and all around emotionally. I found out about a week and a half that I was pregnant with our first little one and went for bloodwork, etc. Everything looked OK at that point and they thought I was about 8 weeks, so we figured it was OK to start spreading the good news. Then, unfortunately I started spotting yesterday and went in for an exam today. They did an ultrasound and the heart beat was very weak and due the bleeding give us less than a 40% chance of not miscarrying over the next couple weeks. We are just finding comfort in God's promises that He promises to bless us. We will update you guys as we find out, but right now we just appreciate your prayers. We got pregnant very fast, so we will just try again as soon as we can. Love you all! My friend sent me the words to this song today and it has really comforted me.

Christmas, New Years, Sugar Bowl, & Nashville

Sorry it has been so long since I have added pics - we were out of town all of Christmas and New Year's so it's taking me a while to get caught back up...thank heavens for days off!! Here's a few highlights from the last few months...

Christmas with my family - love you guys! My "chef husband" gets yet another cookbook...but I am NOT complaining - I rarely have to cook and his food is WONDERFUL! Keep up the good work babe!

Then, off to Georgia we went for Christmas....here is our little one in his Santa outfit...we really need some kids so I will stop embarrassing the dog :)

The biggest excitement of Christmas - "RockBand" - Zach's brother, Nick, got it for Christmas and is was a Rockband extravanganza the rest of the time we were there! (I should have been a drummer..haha!)
Sorry - forgot to flip this picture - we went to our friends house, Jacob and Audrey, for New Years - they live in Mississippi not far from the gulf so we went to eat at this fun restaurant at the top of a casino. The little ball at the top is where we ate.

And, finally the big hightlight of the trip...Zach's Christmas present. He got tickets to the Sugar Bowl (Georgia vs Hawaii) - they played on New Year's Day in New Orleans. It was my first time there so we did as much sight-seeing as possible in 24 hours!

They had a really cool Sugar Bowl museum down in the French Quarter that we toured.

Zach, being the Food Network fan that he is, has successfully eaten at at least four of Emeril's restaraunts so we continued the tradition on our trip - this was one he ate at the last time he came.

The food was SO good as usual. The service is unbelievable - they really make you feel special while you're there.
OK - I had to take a picture of this guy - I'm worried about some of these Georgia fans. And yes, in case you're wondering, the lights going around the "G" did light up and flash!


Whitney got mom "Dancing with the Stars" tickets to their tour in Nashville for Christmas. She was SO excited and the dancing was unbelievable! I mean, slightly better than when we were on Southern Belles...hahaha!

Out to eat at this fun little spot in Nashville - I love this city!
