Addison's Arrival
So I started having contractions on Wednesday, Mar 11 and they lasted all day - never consistent enough to go to labor and delivery. Those lasted all through the night - I may have slept 10 minutes total. The next morning I had a doctor's appt at 10am and I was 3cm dilated. Dr Sarkodie sent me over to labor and delivery - I was SO excited I cried!
Here is Zach and I after the epidural - I have SO much respect for women who do it without one - I can't imagine! I look a little out of it b/c my blood pressure kept dropping so low - but I was feelin' good! I was 10cm by 5:30 and we started pushing with each contraction. By 6:19am Addison Reese entered the world!
Her nana (great-grandmother)
Great Uncle Mike

Little miss just a few minutes after she was born.
The beautiful wreath that Whitney made for our door at the hospital - it got lots of attention - everyone said she's going to be a little diva!
Once she was cleaned up they put this adorable little hat on her that someone from the hospital made

This poor child will have such a decision to make - Georgia or Tennessee?? Dad's trying to get his vote in early with the GA beanie!
Proud Aunt Whitney - she has been staying with us for the last week and pulling the "night shift"-and it's her Spring Break! What a trooper!

She's Here!!
Little Miss Addison made it here March 12 @6:19pm. She weighed 7lb and was 20in long. Mom and baby are doing well but mom is SUPER tired! We are attempting breastfeeding but it has been much more of a challenge than I ever dreamed. I will post pics as soon as I can steal the camera back from Zach to upload them....very proud daddy! If anyone has any encouraging words about breastfeeding I'm all ears...we're trying but having to supplement some with pumping anf formula. More details to come! Back to sleep for mom :)

Due date...and still waiting
Update - went to the doctor today and I'm finally starting to dilate - only 1cm but I'll take whatever I can get at this point! Her heart rate was high so they did another ultrasound - everything there was OK but since the heart rate was still elevated they sent me over to labor and delivery to be monitored for an hour or so. Everything turned out fine so I was sent back home....to continue to wait! She doesn't want to induce at this point because there is a very good chance I would have to have a C-section so for now we will continue to try to be patient! I just can't wait to see her sweet little face but God's timing is perfect so we will continue to trust Him. It just reminds me once again that I am SO not in control (and I little reminding nevr hurts!) Keep us in your prayers and we hoep to have exciting news very soon!

No baby yet!
We are still waiting on Miss Addison to arrive - and her momma is getting more anxious by the day! I am nesting like crazy - cleaning, weeding, organizing, anything I can do other than sit which is what I am supposed to be doing! If there is still no progress by Tuesday (my due date) then my doctor says we will schedule induction for sometime that week. I will try to keep you posted! Just wanted to throw out a quick update.
